A Case of Bad Timing?

There was a great question I caught recently of someone that wanted to know if the "timing" was off in their relationship.

I LOVE this question. The gist of the deal is this: The girl wants to get married and they guy "isn't sure yet."

YET.

That word just SCREAMS at ya, doesn't it?

Here's the thing. If you've been with a guy for a while, and he doesn't know YET if he wants to get married to you, it means he doesn't want to get married to you.... EVER. He may not want to admit that to himself (or to you) but that's the reality.

Here's a secret.... the "timing" is NEVER off in a relationship. Either a relationship works or it doesn't.

This is the problem with "first love." You meet someone and you're both young and it doesn't work out and pine and pine and pine for this person for years later.

But it's silly. Because either you ARE going to be with this person, or you simply AREN'T. Relationships ARE work, don't get me wrong. But they aren't HARD. So if you are struggling in a relationship because the "timing" just doesn't seem to be right, take some time and step back from it. Get distance. You might be able to see that this person really wasn't the one for you after all. And when you realize that (and only then) you can finally met the one that IS right for you.
