In this article by Dave M., the author gives six tips to guys about what not to say in their emails to women online. The tips are really basic tips that take the long route to saying "don't act (or be) desperate, don't act like (or be) a louse and have a little bit of self-confidence". Interestingly, these tips are given to men whose goal is to get a "booty call" from their online connections. Well, unless they're on a site that's supposed to be for that purpose, it's no wonder that they need such simple advice. Well women are certainly as interested in hooking up as are their male counterparts, they're probably not looking to do so on a standard dating site. They'd head over to the adult sites if that's what they wanted. But the rules in Dave's article still apply as basic common sense rules for communicating effectively online.
