Mark Brooks (www.courtlandbrooks.com) worked with Jonathan Abrams
(www.jabrams.com) at Friendster before joining the FriendFinder network to help Dr Conru (www.conru.com) develop and refine the FriendFinder brand.
Then, as VP Marketing and Business Development, he helped Eric Straus overhaul the Cupid.com brand and guided the acquisition and integration of the world's largest speed dating company (www.PreDating.com) into Cupid.com.
In 1998 he founded ace-club.com – Silicon Valleys social activities club. In 2000 he helped develop Hypermatch, a unique matchmaking site which was sold to EZBoard.
In a previous life Mark sold semiconductor test equipment. He is 100% limey British and holds a B.S. Engineering Management from the University of Hertfordshire (London). Two days after graduating he landed in America and treked through 30 U.S. states before deciding that the Silicon Valley and New York were the places to be.
He now lives in New York and Silicon Valley and works as a consultant to the online personals industry.
