Now you're in a relationship and it's more complicated. There are two sets of parents to deal with, or maybe three or four if divorce is a reality. It's easy for people to get upset or offended when they're used to seeing you every year.
Your best bet is to either alternate each year or consider merging the families if you believe everyone can get along. Either way you'll avoid upsetting people unnecessarily
