How do you start dating?

I love this question, and it's one I get asked often. When someone wants to get "out there" they seem to hesitate because there are so many ways to meet singles. But yet, many singles are afraid to try something new.

What's YOUR best advice to starting out? I believe online dating is a great way to meet people, but I also believe singles can benefit from just being more active in various activities. Find your passion and you might find someone who will enjoy doing the same activity.
