Best Opening Line

Thanks to all of you who entered to win our contest for the book: Get Your Dating Game On. I asked each of you the best pickup line you'd ever heard. I hope you got a chance to see the entries!

There were some incredibly cheesy and lame openers. It's amazing any of them worked, although I think sometimes you just need to break the ice when you see someone you want to talk to.

I loved reading them all. After careful consideration, I had to choose this line from Maggie Yu:

"Boy: Hey! I haven't seen you for a long time!
Girl: Do I know you?
Boy: Hmmm, you look familiar.
Girl: *Thinks* No.
Boy: That is a shame, I'd sure like to. I am (name). *Big grin*"

This is a pretty cute opening line, and I can actually see it working. I especially like the "big grin" part. Maggie, you definitely win the prize! Congrats.

In addition to the entries, I hope you all noticed we got a shout out from Jennifer Worick, author of Get Your Dating Game On in the comments as well.

Thanks to all who entered, and if you didn't win, at least you have a few opening lines to use next time you go out. (wink!)
