Compatible Partners: eHarmony Goes Gay

After losing a lawsuit over the issue late last year, eHarmony has established a dating site that will cater to the gay community: Compatible Partners.
Dating blogger Bonny Albo published a piece on the soon-to-be-active new site earlier this month. She found problems.
A quick review of the site shows that they still aren't ready to open up shop, but interested users can easily sign up to get an email reminder when the site goes live. But how many gay and lesbian singles are actually going to use the site? And what about the bisexual or transgendered folks? There doesn't seem to be any room for either group, although I've noticed few larger dating sites have these folks in mind either.
The site is supposed to become operational on April 1st. No joke…

The algorithm they use to match men is pathetic. An “urban snob” whose passions include the arts, good food and wine, sculling, etc., I have been matched with good ole boys from small towns who claim “trucks” as their main passion or “bingo and sports” as their main leisure activities. Don’t waste your money; I can’t imagine they’re happy either getting matched with an esthete easterner like me.
