Dating By The Book

Online dating sites have gained much popularity over the years. Most of these sites have a very general nature and the new trend seems to be carving a niche for the site to stand out from the rest.
One such new online dating site is the Alikewise.com, which tries to set up people based on the books they have read. All bookworms – whether paperbacks, hardbound cover or Kindle readers – are welcome to join for free.
While most dating sites include people's general hobbies and interests and books are sometimes a part of those…what Alikewise.com is doing is allowing users to search and be searched by the books and book opinions they post next to their profiles. The site also sends out notifications to their members when somebody adds the same title or the same general interest area.
Co-founders Matt Sherman and Matt Masina have come up with the idea from their own personal experiences with love and relationships. Sherman said, "Our attitude is that books can be about anything," while Masina quips, "we think there's a different caliber of person who reads."
