Sometimes the father of the woman you are dating will seem to get in the middle of your relationship. This can be tough on both you and your partner.

Remember though, at one point, she was a little girl who probably looked up to her dad and felt protected by him. Now she's grown up but her father may still want to be the Protector.

The last thing you want to do is put her in a position of having to choose between you and her father. That's an impossible choice, but chances are she'll choose family over the relationship.
