It hasn’t been long (a few months) since Match.com started its free site – Down to Earth. Well, now Down to Earth has grown a new sister site: Stir.com. Stir.com focuses on nightlife and the social scene.

About.com Dating Guide Bonny Albo describes the new site’s connection to the old one.

Users who had previously registered with Down To Earth have automatically been moved to the new portal, although members who aren’t interested in the lifestyle site can log in to either company and go to the account preferences page to have their account removed.

Bonny points out (correctly, I think) that migrating to the new site may not be worth the effort, depending on what you’re looking for…
