Are you a serial dater?

I'll admit I was. A serial dater, in case you aren't sure, is someone that dates and dates and dates but always finds an excuse as to why the guy or girl isn't right.

Now it should be said, that sometimes the guy or girl they go out with really ISN'T right.

But if you're someone that has gone on as a serial dater for years and years, chances are you've probably met the right person (or two, or three) and just never realized there were in front of you.

There's a great article about how to stop being a serial dater I read recently, and there were a few points that really stood out. One was basically to stop thinking of love as a fairy tale. I can't tell you how many women (and men, too) do that. They want the first kiss to be all fireworks and birds singing, they want the first time they see each other across a crowded room to be magical, and they basically look at love like a Meg Ryan movie.

But love isn't like that. Sometimes, love takes some time to reveal itself. In other words, love at first sight doesn't exist.
