Finding Love After 80

I loved this story about an 85 year old that had fell in love with a 96 year old and I encourage you to check out their story.
After I read this I had to wonder what it is we find so encouraging about people in the autumn of their years finding love? I mean, on the whole, being in love isn't such a big story.
But in an age of cynical people and those who have been hurt, isn't it refreshing to know that no matter where you are in life, no matter what problems you've had with love, you can keep trying. Simply dust yourself off and be active.
These two met and fell in love via letter writing, which I find even sweeter. They didn't just rush into marriage out of desperation or loneliness, they instead took the time to get to know the other's heart and mind. And isn't that a lesson for us all?
