Get a New Year’s Kiss Tonight

It's New Year's Eve and you have no date. You could just stay home alone and ring in the New Year with a glass of wine and the ball dropping on your television screen. Or you could decide that this is the year that your dating life is going to be different.
One of the main reasons that people don't have dates tonight is because they're not really putting themselves out there. Yes, I know. You don't want to go on another date with another loser. You want your date to be meaningful. You want to meet someone who blows you away. You don't want to make small talk. But is small talk really worse than kissing your cat at midnight tonight.
Head over to your favorite online dating sites and start seeing who is interested in going out. Ask out someone that you've been emailing with for a few weeks. Or go on a new site and try your chances with someone that you know almost nothing about. No one is saying that you have to make this date your life partner. Just give someone new a chance.
(Of course, you should follow safety precautions. Meet and have your date in a public place. Don't drink so much champagne that you don't know what you're doing. In other words, be smart while you take your chances.)
By trying something different tonight, you might find that you've opened up a whole new world for yourself. And new beginnings like that are what this night is supposed to be all about.
Heck, at least you've got a good chance of getting that New Year's kiss!
