Getting Revenge

If you've ever been cheated on, you've probably entertained thoughts of revenge. And while the vast majority of us don't act on these thoughts, a select few seem justified in carrying them out.
Don't misunderstand me; when someone cheats on you it hurts like hell. But I don't subscribe to the thought that if you get even you'll feel better. More than that, it's simply wrong.
I read an article today on CNN.com about getting revenge that I found very disturbing. In it they cited a well-known actress who had gotten revenge on her boyfriend by breaking all his windows. The terrified boyfriend called the cops and when they arrived they recognized her, and no charges were filed.
I'm not sure I agree with this. If some guy is a slime ball and cheats on you, that doesn't mean you're justified in getting back at him. The best thing to do (for your own good) is to let go of your anger is the healthiest way possible. Clean out your closets, write a book, paint, go for a run... whatever it takes to work through the anger and move to a healthy place where you'll be able to open your heart again.
Think of it like this, if this guy wasn't worth your love, why is he worth your anger?
