Let Science Make Your Match

Did you see Science of Love, the dating reality show that aired on NBC last year? If so, you know that there are some folks out there who believe that science is a better indicator than just attraction to making a match that will last you a lifetime. If you think that there might be some truth to that idea, you might want to check out a dating website that relies on science to do the math.

ScientificMatch.com uses a number of criteria to find you a match. What makes it different from sites like eHarmony, though, is that the criteria includes a closer look at your DNA. As you might expect, this is not your average website and it's not for those who are just dabbling in online romance. You have to get some genetic testing done to get matched with a partner so you've got to be serious. You've also got to be in the Boston area.

Question of the Day: Would you get a DNA-based match?

I really think that DNS-Dating is nonsense from the very beginning. If you wish to find a match, you have to look for matching soical criteria as well as for some other points i.E, where and how to live, the value of money and friends and so on … I beleive that there is no science in that science.

Sorry, my English is not any better – I hope, you understood it anyway.

I agree with Sehpferd, it sounds completely over the top, I still think the best way to match people is because of likemindedness, so dating sites such as http://www.gorgeousnetworks.com, where existing users vote on new applicants, ok, there is a risk that it becomes too homogenous, but I guess if many people vote, it will always tend towards diversity, but likeminded, christopher
