We've heard before that people who get married live longer.

That's a stat that I used to really hate. Really, really hate.

Because when you're single, who wants to hear that? Who wants to think that because you're smart enough to wait for the right person, someone has determined that you simply won't live as long as you would have had you got married?

In fact, I'm a little suspect about those studies anyways.

But one thing about that study does make sense. When people get married they tend to take better care of themselves. They eat better. Get more sleep. Take life at a different pace. And hey, if that's the key to why married people live longer (or at least one of the keys to longer life) than singles can surely take advantage of that as well.
