Men Dating Men: Site Choices

In a recent article, Michael DeMarco gave his opinion about the online dating sites that are used by men. To sum up what he said, there are quite a lot of sites out there that are just for hooking up. (The most common ones are adam4adam and ManHunt.) And there are others that he says pose as more but are still mostly hook-up sites, like Craig's List. Then there are the common profile sites used by gay men like Gay.com.
But DeMarco also makes mention of the social networking sites that are becoming an increasingly popular way to find a date that's more than just a hook-up. He points to the obvious culprits like MySpace and FaceBook. But he also makes mention of some newer sites like Dlist and Connexion. He seems to recommend these as the way to go for gay guys looking for a relationship.
In fairness, I should say that I know gay men who have used both Craig's List and Gay.com to find relationships that were lasting. But for those people who are looking more to make friends that might become more than to hook up and see what happens, DeMarco's suggestions for social networking sites could be a way to go. Just keep in mind that if you know what you want, you can articulate it and you're willing to wait for it, it will eventually be yours!
