Mobile Social Networking Conference Starts Today

Somewhere in the heart of San Francisco, a group of people are gathering today to discuss changes in the world of social networking. The occasion is the Mobile Technologies for Social Networking conference, a two-day event which takes a look at the way that mobile technologies are rapidly changing the context of Internet dating and other online social networking.
Speakers at the conference will include representatives from MySpace (on the "neverending friendship"), Jangl (on using anonymous calling services to enhance the experience of meeting online) and several popular sites speaking on the pros and cons of generic vs. specialty sites. The conference is primarily for the business user but will likely result in innovations that will affect online dating sites and other social networking outlets.
