Moving In Together

Couple unpacking together in new house

Have you ever moved in with your boyfriend or girlfriend? If you have, when did you decide to make the move?

I'd lived with a couple people over the years, both of them after I was engaged. To me, moving my stuff in with someone else was a scary prospect. It's bad enough to break up, but it's even sadder if you have to also lug your things back out on the street while you wait for a moving van.

So for me, the right time to move in with someone was defined by the seriousness of the relationship. I caught a recent article that talked about a time frame as the guide to move in. Such as: a month or two.

What do you think? Would you ever live with someone you were dating? And if so, under what circumstances?
