It's easy to understand why parents would be so protective. After all, they've been watching over you from the moment you took your first breath. Now, if you're still in junior high or even high school, there's nothing wrong with taking a little advice from the folks.

But if you're in college or working in the real world, then it's time to make your own decisions in your dating life.
