Now, I'm so sure why the Kama Sutra stuff is selling like hotcakes now, but I do understand why online dating memberships have soared.

There's no shame in joining an online dating site to try and take control of your dating life. There's no shame in admitting that you want someone special in your life and in trying to do something about it.
