Online Dating Safety
Filed in archive by Mark Brooks on March 1, 2004
I hate it when these three words meet. Online dating has nothing to do
with safety. If you're stupid to hand out private(not personal,
private!, like credit card info and stuff like that) information to strangers,
you don't do it only on dating sites. But otherwise, online dating is the
safest form of dating. I mean, come on, you can exchange emails with
crazy people, but you don't actually have to go OUT with them.
Going out, that's the problem. On the street, but there you can always meet some loonatic whom you've never met before. So what is the difference really, if you meet him on the street or on some dating site? the thing is, there are
rules for safety, but that has nothing to do with online dating.
They're just the plain security rules of our social lives. That's one of the
conclusions. The other is: Some people have seen too many hollywood
movies.
