Plenty of Fish Isn't Pleasing to the Eye

plenty of fish
is a well-known much-used dating site. In fact, according to a recent article in The New York Times, the site is so popular that it nets its owner $10 million per year even though he only works ten hours per work. But what the article also says is that the design of the website shows the lack of time that is being put into it.Some of the flaws cited in the article include:
- Ugly photos. No, it's not that the people using the site are unattractive. It's that the faces on photos are inappropriately resized by the system to make them look longer or shorter than they really are. This is a big problem on an online dating site considering that pictures are what sell the people who are on it.
- Users are automatically booted from the system for being inactive. This is nice for the people using it regularly to meet people that are actually on it but can make it hard for users that are only on it now and then.
- There is basically no such thing as customer service from this company. So if you've got a problem with the site, you might just be out of luck.
There are plenty of fish in the sea of online dating sites. Those that can't keep up with the changing desires of their users could find that those people are moving on to other waters.
Question of the Day: What do you think - does Plenty of Fish need a makeover?
