Just because Valentine's Day has come and gone doesn't mean that you should be letting the romance go along with it. In fact, the weekend after Valentine's Day is an ideal time for a sweet date because the feeling of romance is still in the air but the pressure of the holiday is gone.
Here are some Post-Valentine's date ideas for you to consider this weekend:
- Romantic dinner. Maybe you skipped it this week because the restaurants were busy with Valentine's diners. Go for a candlelit, wine-soaked indulgence this weekend. Better yet, skip dinner and go to a nice restaurant just to enjoy dessert.
- Skiing. If you're in or near a place that's got slopes, consider getting out and active with a new date this weekend. Adrenaline is a great force for bringing people closer together and the fireplace at the lodge won't hurt either
- Poetry reading. Valentine's is all about romantic things like poetry. Consider putting a spin on it by getting edgy and locating a poetry slam in your area. This makes it more about art than Valentine's but can definitely bring out the love of the season.
- Comedy clubs. One of the worst things about Valentine's is that it puts a lot of pressure on dates. Consider celebrating the end of that pressure with some good old-fashioned laughter.
Question of the Day: What are you going to do with a date this weekend?
