Sugar daddies shell out $15 a month to meet their babies. Sugar babies don't pay a penny. Lawyers argue that these relationships are borderline criminal. Hey Mark,
I don’t see any real reason why sites like these wouldn’t be categorized as Online Dating sites/services.
People don’t actually “date” online, they search for people and “meet people” online. As such this site is no different thank match.com or eHarmony.
People one this site are conceptually no different than those on AdultFriendFinder, who are looking for people to have sex with. They has a slightly different interest which some people may or may not agree with.

As for the comment by the professor at Yale – “You are not granted legal immunity just because you prostitute yourself on a Web site instead of a street corner” –
his statement shows a very strong bias to what other adults should and well – shouldn’t – be allowed to do.
Judging from his quote, he would try to criminalize visiting AdultFriendFinder too.
For some reason paying someone for sex is not legal in many places these days, but how exactly are you going to identify the specific cases without any doubt?
Not that I think there’s anything particularly wrong with people choosing to pay for sex and others choosing to make a living from selling sex as a service (though it would be a lot safer if regulated and inspected rather than ignored and pushed underground where it still goes on). But I just don’t see the parallel.
People meet on an online dating site (just like offline) to fulfill various needs. Their needs can be emotional, sexual, or just basic companionship – and often a combination of those. So what?
And addressing those needs between those consensual adults is the business of those particular adults.
