Songs with your girl’s name

Tuesday, 24. August 2004 - 11:03 am

Upon meeting a girl and finding out her name (if you are so lucky), do not proceed to sing a popular song that has her name in it or a reference to pop culture with her name in it.

She has heard it before. You are not clever, funny or cool.

Example: My name is Stacy. People always say "Your mom has it goin on" or "Stacy's mom has got it goin on!" (after the Fountains of Wayne song) It is not funny, not funny, not funny!

Example #2: My roommate's name is Jenny. People constantly refer to Forrest Gump and say "Run, Jen-nya, Run!" –even though it is actually Jenny (in the movie) that says "Run, Forrest, Run!" Also, people constantly sing JLo's "Jenny From The Block." Jenny does not think this is funny, cute or cool in any way.

Just a tip.

Can’t you just say what you mean? I don’t really understand all this. But I like the way you do it. I can surely learn a lot on your sites. Thanks
