Speed Dating: The trend of trends

. I came upon a site that was doing that. This was being less and less kidsplay. It was teenplay by springtime. Now it's an adult game. To me, it still resembles a soap opera. Remember how, from one episode to another, every character hooks with every other character of the opposite sex in the soap, completing this way all the possible combinations? It's basically the same thingy. But with speed. That's why they call it SPEED dating. You sit around a table, with n members of the opposite sex, and n minus one members of the same sex as you. You talk to the person in front of you. From x to x minutes, you change places and move to one of your sides. Then you talk to the person in front of you and after x minutes you move again. And so on until you met them all. THEN everybody writes down who they liked and if there is a match, the lucky ones get eachother's phone number from the organizer.Drinks are usually on the house :)
However, this doesn't mean taking part can't be fun
Here's some sites with some speedy speed-related details on each of them:
"My Beating Heart"25 prospective dates, 3 minutes, 45 bucks
"Couple Minutes"(I love this title, don't you?)
"about" 20 prospectives, a "couple minutes"(3 exactly), 39 bucks. Here you can see other people's public profile, it's more like a combination between a classic dating site and its new, speedy version
Saved the best for last. 8-Minute Dating. This one almost convinced me:)
Hopefully, no one bought the oneminutedating domain. But I see a lot of franchising on the horizon. Expect an x-minute-dating email from your local dating site:), work colleague or offline-dating buddy.
