I get so many questions at About.com from folks who think playing games is the way to advance their relationship.

I'm here to tell you that you may think it will send a message or change your partner's behavior, but the more likely scenario is that it backfires.

Instead of all the games, I say play it straight. At least you'll know you've said your peace and will have no regrets. If your partner can't handle the honesty, then do you really want to be with them anyway?
