MEN — Dec 1 — The problem with blind dates and personals is that they
do not satisfy a very crucial requirement needed in order for two
people to hit it off and see each other again: physical attraction and
chemistry. Back to basics. People are beginning to realize that
attraction depends on more than just a description or picture of a
person, but also through the way two people interact with each
other. Physical appearance and chemistry play important roles in
the initial stages of dating. Even though we tend to demote its
importance for fear of sounding superficial, someone's appearance does
play an important role in the decision of wanting to see them

I'm a proponent of events, but I'd like to see a system that integrates
a basic personality profile as well. That would be a nice advance
on the traditional speed dating event. Table for sixhas one of the better event model for this kind of matchmaking.
Speed dating is great for the sheer number of people you meet in one
evening.

If you think speeddating is the way to go since you get to meet a bunch of women – then think how many women you can meet by going online and posting your profile. You have to put yourself out there to get noticed and found.

I am amused to this new trend in dating. For me, I prefer this kind of meeting-him-meeting-her act in 15 seconds or so, raher than online dating.

I’ve had great experiences with online dating. With speeddating, you’re limited to 20 people. However, once you get online you have the world to choose from. I think internet dating is the best thing since sliced bread!

I found this new site that I recommend. http://www.RetroMatch.com combines the internet with the world of matchmaking. The site allows you to choose a personal matchmaker who calls/meets you in person and then selects quality people for you. RetroMatch.com was in Beta testing for several months and as a result two matches came from it! Can you imagine that??? How can you go wrong with trying out something new – especially a site that guarantees privacy and has actual people helping you out. Clara – you’re right! After reading your recommendation I couldn’t resist but try the site myself. I was so impressed that I have a bunch of men and women who I have already directed to join retromatch.com. Please keep me posted if you hear of any other great sites that are a touch of class. With all the singles out there we can certainly use some more RetroMatch.com sites!

I was bored and decided to google looking for online dating sites and new places to post – I came up with this blog and I’m glad I did. I just finished posting my profile on RetroMatch.com – who knows – maybe one day I’ll end up meeting someone from this online post!
