About Dot Com's dating blog lists Plenty of Fish fourth (Lavalife beats them out). Online Dating has a completely different list and puts Match Dot Com first.

I think most people agree that Plenty of Fish is the top free dating website. I hear discussion periodically about taking it to a pay site, and I'm sure that's tempting for the fish people.

Bottom line: The best site out there is the site that's best for you. And I guess that is subjective…
