Ugly People Need Not Apply

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but at the BeautifulPeople Network it's a requirement to post a profile. The online dating service has a "ban on ugliness."

The thing I wondered was, WHO decides if someone is beautiful? According to one source, the choice goes to approved members who decide if someone is pretty or handsome enough to gain entrance to this little club.

Even if you thought of yourself as beautiful, wouldn't the fact that they screened people this way be a turnoff?

The owner of the site says it's all natural: "There's certainly nothing shallow about that, it's Human Nature."

That may be, but I've met lots of people I was initially attracted to only to talk to them a bit and get turned off by their rudeness or stupidity or arrogance. In other words, beauty goes beyond the physical!

But more than that, I'm wondering what you guys think of this service? Have you used it? Would you?

Wow… Ugly people know who they are… they don’t need someone else to tell them. but I’m glad someone is going to judge them.
too bad it’s not a judgement by other members…that would be great.

Dating or finding that right person is not about good looks. I mean Heidi Klum didn’t marry Seal for his good looks but for his balls. Shannon Tweed didn’t click with Gene Simmons for his good looks either but again – sex and last but not least Jerry Hall wasn’t attracted to Mick Jagger for his good looks but again for sexual connection…and maybe for his “long tongue”. I mean these 3 guys were ugly but attracted beautiful women ironically speaking. Maybe all the ugly people should send their pictures & profile to join this dating service.

Wow! I heard of kooky things, but this is not really surprising though. That mentality has been around since the first mirror was invented; But my opinion is, let them have it because being a member of this club is its own reward/curse, and they deserve what they get.

I haven’t seen this site. Does seem a bit shallow though!

I dont know how guys feel about this, but being an “attractive” woman, looks are not everything. My hub is probably ugly to others, outside, but he is most thoughtful and caring person inside. Makes all the difference, I would not trade him for any amount of eye candy!
