What to Watch While Waiting for Online Responses
Filed in archive by Kathryn Vercillo on January 9, 2008

What do you do when you're spending time online waiting for a response to an email that you just sent through one of your online dating sites? Most people browse through their inboxes, check through their dating sites for other potential matches to hit on and play some online games. Many also turn on their television sets and kill some time with the tube while waiting to see if they get any responses to the feelers they put out.
With the writer's strike that's going on, many people have been turning away from that latter option. But the networks are picking up new shows to try to capture your interest. If dating is the thing that gets your heart racing (and really, who doesn't get a little perked up about dating?!), Matched in Manhattan might be the new show for you.
It's not an online dating television show per se, but it's a show that online daters can definitely relate to. The reality series
is all about how this "dating agent" assists singles in finding the match that they're looking for in this world. Whether you're searching online or going to a matchmaker, you're facing some of the same problems and issues.Of course, this is a reality television show. You shouldn't be going to it for advice about your own dating life. But it's bound to have some interesting tips and ideas that might make dating more fun for you. And it's a good way to pass the time while waiting to see if anyone you've written to recently writes back.
Question of the Day: What other shows for singles are you still watching?
