Win a Copy of He’s Just Not That Into You
Wednesday, 30. April 2008 - 7:48 am

Have you read the book, He's Just Not That Into You? It's a great dating advice book from Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. The book, in case you aren't familiar, came about from an episode of Sex and the City, where the character of Miranda wonders about a date she had where the guy didn't follow up with a girl. Carrie's boyfriend at the time, Burger, tells her simply that the reason the guy didn't call was that he "just wasn't that into you."
Miranda thinks this is the best advice ever, and a new catch phrase is born. Behrendt was a consultant on Sex in the City and provided this line. Never one to miss an opportunity, he then parlayed the success of the episode into a book.
While He's Just Not That Into You [Simon Spotlight Entertainment, 2004] doesn't provide any earth-shattering revelations, it does provide a straight-forward answer from a guy about the question every single woman has wondered at one time or another: Why hasn't he called?
The book was so successful that they decided to make a movie out of it. He's Just Not That Into You – The Movie will be released later this year, and will star Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, jennifer connelly, Drew Barrymore, and her new love, Justin Long.
If you haven't yet read the book, I highly recommend that you do so. To give you a little incentive, I have a free copy of the book I will give to one lucky winner. To enter, simply leave a comment on this post saying the worst way you've ever been dumped, dumped someone, or heard about someone getting dumped. Let's share these bad stories to encourage us all to be nicer when we end a relationship!
Remember to add your comment below. I will choose one lucky winner by end of day on Tuesday, May 6th. I'll announce the winner May 7th. Good luck.

One of my friends was dating a man she worked with.
She knew it was over when he “shared” his calendar for the week (which they had done faithfully every week) and she saw that she was no longer on it.
He had been nasty enough to put a speed dating evening on one night, hair washing another….a real prince! She was best done with him.

1. May 2008 - 12:08 pm
For Valentine’s day I gave my boyfriend of almost two years a shadowbox full of fun mementos, a handmade card, and three roses (to represent me, himself, and his sweet daughter). In the frigid snowy elements outside his condo building garage at 6am, I waited for a car to come out so I could sneak in to delivery said gift.
Later, when we got together for our V’day dinner at an expensive restaurant (on my dime), we had a huge fight which later lead to him breaking up with me in bed after proposing “one last f**k”.
When he drove me home “Against All Odds” was playing on the radio…”How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace…” Jeeeez.

2. May 2008 - 5:34 am

5. May 2008 - 8:35 pm
I ditched a guy halfway through the first date because he said he voted for Bush. I could NOT date a guy who is foolish enough to vote for the worst president we have ever had. I told him right after he said that he voted for Bush there was NO chance for any kind of a relationship with him. I was appalled that he thought that Kerry, a man who served honorably in VietNam, was more evil than Bush, the AWOL coward! I sure am glad I never had another date with that guy! Voting for Bush is a mortal sin in my book!!

I actually remember this episode of sex in the city! Anyhow the worst way that I was dumped was by the guy sending his new girlfriend to tell me it was over! We were all friends and it was hard to be very mad, because I wasn’t that into him, but it stung a little when they got married a year later!
6. May 2008 - 8:19 am

6. October 2008 - 7:52 pm
My guy tells me he’s “just a loner” and that he DOES love me… in the mean time, he doesn’t want to talk online or on the phone – i only see him once a month and when i do, we never have sex – it doesn’t bother him if we go for a couple months without seeing each other… I’ve heard this book is AWESOME and I NEED it!!
