Woman Gets $2 Million in Matchmaker Lawsuit

LA TIMES.COM — May 31 — She paid $125,000 to a Beverly Hills firm but said she received no introductions to appropriate men. She sued, and on Tuesday, a jury awarded her $2.1 million. Majerik, a 60 year old social worker, paid $125,000 to Orly Hadida. She and her lawyer alleged that Majerik is a serial suer of matchmakers. Orly fees run as high as $200,000.
