Would You Have Someone Else Write Your Profile?

As a writer, I regularly search for writing gigs on sites online. These are classified ad sites or job bid sites that are designed to offer writers professional writing jobs - everything from web content writing to e-book contracts. But increasingly, I see advertisements from people who are on singles dating sites and want to pay a professional writer to write their profiles for them.
Would you do this? Would you write someone else's profile or would you have someone write yours?

I don't bother to apply for these jobs myself. I think I could probably get the jobs but there's a level of dishonesty to the work that I don't want to be a part of. And as an online dater, I would never have someone else write my profile. I want the people I meet online to know me for who I am - typos, late night rants and all.
But I can see the appeal of it for a person who isn't confident in their own writing. Often, you have just a moment online to make an impression and you want to make the best one that you can. So is it really bad to have someone else craft a profile for you that says what you want to say ... only better? If you don't want to go that route, you can put in the extra effort to improve your profile yourself.
